Today, Rio Rico High School teachers participated in the Empower Professional Development. They had the valuable opportunity to learn from the education expert Dr. Robert Marzano. This outstanding training was thoughtfully organized by our Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (TLA) department.

🚨REP ALERT - CHEER EARNS BID TO NATIONALS!🚨 RRHS cheer participated with their sister school, Sahuarita High School, this past month at a USA Cheer Camp! We are happy to announce that the Hawks obtained a Superior Rating earning a bid to Nationals! 3 athletes earned the title of All-American. They are: Jaslene Maddox, Gianna Gastelum and Myline Elias! We are proud of our athletes and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in 25-26!

RRHS/CTE: Providing Hands On Experience!

🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS - GARAYZAR MAKES HISTORY!🚨🚨 Rio Rico High School’s Class of 2021 Alumni, Raul Garayzar, was selected in the 18th round (543rd selection) of Major League Baseball’s 2025 draft by the ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS‼️ Raul played for RRHS from 2018-2021 before moving on to South Mountain Community College. Most recently, Garayzar pitched for the Arizona Wildcats, who qualified for the College World Series this year. Garayzar is the first RRHS athlete in school history to be drafted as a professional athlete! We are proud of you, @garayzarrr ! Thank you for being proud of where you are from! Congratulations and best wishes in the work that lies ahead with the @dbacks 🐍

Shoutout to Coach Teadt and the RRHS baseball booster club for its latest upgrade to Time to Fly Field! The bullpen area received some much needed TLC with some turf and fencing. 💪🏻

Football Puts on Youth Camp! Shoutout to Coach Bonilla and the football program who gave back to the community by putting on a free youth camp yesterday at Time to Fly Field! We're excited for the official start of fall sports in August!

Volleyball placed 3rd in the championship bracket of the Payson Invitational in Payson, AZ this weekend! The program logged 13 total sets and finished with a record of 8-5. 20 total teams competed.💪🏼

Our SCV35 Aquatic Center will be closed on July 4th and 5th in observance of Independence Day.

The pool will return to its regular operational hours beginning on Monday, July 7.

The SCV35 Aquatic Center will be closed this afternoon due to weather. Thank you for your understanding.
