This Week in Athletics, Sept. 14-19
Today, our CTE JROTC honored those we lost on 9/11 with a ceremony of quiet strength and deep respect. Thank you, Cadets — Gonzalo Guzman-Pacheco, Ray Felix, Bryanna Niebla, Luke Faley, Hunter Thompson, Andres Morales, Tatianna Gallardo, Mia De La Rosa, Elvia Altamirano and Daniel Rojas. We extend our utmost gratitude to 1st Sgt. Brandon Moore and LTC Art Roque for instilling such dignity, pride, and character in our students. Our Hawk community salutes you all!

Tonight's JV football game at Nogales has been moved to Time to Fly Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 pm.
All tickets purchased from Nogales will be refunded. A new ticket will need to be purchased at Rio Rico. Rio Rico is online only - NO CASH. Plan accordingly.

Congratulations to Sebastian Castro, Rio Rico High School’s Student Body President, on being selected as one of only three State Presidents through the Arizona Association of Student Councils (AASC)!
This is the first time in RRHS history that our Student Body President has been selected for this statewide leadership position. Sebastian was chosen through a competitive selection process that included applications, interviews, and speeches before thousands of conference attendees, and was ultimately voted in by student council members from across Arizona.
Demonstrating his dedication and initiative, Sebastian also reached out to former State Presidents and student council leaders throughout Arizona to learn from their experiences and prepare for this opportunity.
Last week, Sebastian was recognized by our Governing Board Members and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Melisa Lunderville for this incredible accomplishment.
We are proud of Sebastian and grateful for the guidance and support of his teachers, Counselor Ms. Kayli Munoz, and RRHS Principal Mr. Dagoberto Lopez.

Our Senior Officer and Battalion Commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel (C/LTC) Gonzalo Guzman-Pacheco, spent the entire day sharing his vision, goals, and intent for the Battalion this school year.
He also shared his personal experiences and the impact JROTC has had on his life—demonstrating what it means to LEAD with purpose and inspire others.
