Last spring, Rio Rico High School Environmental Science students worked in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, an experience that resulted in our school receiving a certificate of participation. Through this collaboration, students gained valuable knowledge and hands-on expertise in air quality, deepening their understanding of environmental science and real-world applications. Special thanks to Ms. Shaw for her dedication and guidance in helping our students become lifelong learners. Due to the positive impact of this experience, our students have expressed strong interest in participating in this project again in 2026.
