Personalized Learning Pathways
Personalized learning pathways are educational approaches that are customized to meet the individual needs, interests, and learning styles of each student. Personalized learning pathways aim to create more student-centered learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of learners. By recognizing and responding to the individual strengths, interests, and challenges of each student, personalized learning pathways can help to maximize student success and achievement.
At Rio Rico High School the students have 3 options:
Traditional School - A traditional high school operates on a schedule where students attend classes during specific times each day (8:40 a.m. - 3:40 p.m.) following consistent class periods (1st - 7th) throughout the academic year. This provides a structured and predictable learning environment that supports student learning, engagement, and academic achievement within the confines of a predetermined schedule.
Hybrid Schedule - A hybrid schedule provides students with the flexibility to take a combination of online and in-person classes. This means they can complete some courses virtually while still having the option to learn from a regular teacher on campus. It’s a great way to support different learning styles and help students manage their time effectively.
Distance Learning - Distance learning, also known as remote learning or online learning, refers to a mode of education where students engage in their coursework through digital platforms and the internet. Distance learning provides an alternative mode of education that can be effective in certain situations, offering flexibility, accessibility, and opportunities for personalized learning.
