The Hawk Theatre Company presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” The trivial comedy for serious people written by Oscar Wilde and Adapted by Joseph Ellison.
Rio Rico Az, opening show will be November 6th 2020- November 9th 2020 “The Importance of Being Earnest” is a comedy of manners following the story’s of Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff who both like to bend the truth to their advantage.
Throughout the show questions will arise such as how far are they willing to go, and how long will it be until they get caught in the reality of their names? What will happen to these lively men? Will their secrets get discovered or will they come clean with the truth? Come find out in RRHS Hawk Theatre Company’s upcoming show.
An adaptation of the 1894 play by Oscar Wilde, this show will have you laughing, crying, and speaking like a dentist from the antics between
Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff. In their current case of bending the truth they do
so in order to get married to two lovely ladies who have both taken a liking to the name of Earnest. In the city or country, these men are willing to take the truth of their identities and twist it as far as they can in order to get the hands of these two young women. Cucumber sandwiches, muffin fights, Bunburyists, the answer to your questions and more will be found in the RRHS Hawk Theatre’s production of “The Importance of Being Earnest.”
