Grades 9-12 Fine Arts Credit or Elective Credit
This photojournalism course is designed to teach students the use of photography in a fine art manner in order to create the school year. The focus of the class will be pre and post production. Students will serve as yearbook staff and work to complete the finished product for the school as directed by school administration.

Introduction to the Arts Grades 9-12 Fine Art Credit or Elective Credit This course is designed to introduce students to the fine/performing arts of dance, music, theatre, and art. Students will study the history of these art forms, including past present, and future implications to the arts and to the disciplines outside the arts. Students will encounter the practices of these art forms and will discover how today’s culture is immersed in the arts, thereby becoming knowledgeable contributors and consumers to the arts.

Visual Arts- Edgenuity

Grades 9-12 Fine Art Credit or Elective Credit Art Appreciation courses introduce students to the many forms of art and help them form an aesthetic framework through which they can judge and critique art of various ages and cultures. These courses also explore the place and significance of art in our society. This class may be offered in person or through Edgenuity depending on the availability within the school year.
Art History- Edgenuity Grades 9-12 Fine Art Credit or Elective Credit Art History courses introduce students to significant works of art, artists, and artistic movements that have shaped the art world and have influenced or reflected periods of history. These courses often emphasize the evolution of art forms, techniques, symbols, and themes.This class may be offered in person or through Edgenuity depending on the availability within the school year.

Film & TV I- Principles

Grades: 10-11 Fee: 15.00 10-11 Year CTE Credit

This course is an introduction to technical skills and knowledge for film and TV. Instruction will include: analyzing the media industry, investigating the intellectual Property Law and Rights Management, demonstrating verbal and nonverbal communication skills required by the media industry, demonstrating written communication skills within the media industry, utilizing computer applications to manage media, applying knowledge of data capture and manipulation.

Film & TV II- Applications Grades: 11-12 Fee: 15.00 11-12 Year CTE Credit This course will prepare the student to integrate pre-production, production, post-production, delivery and distribution, quality assurance and presentation phases of film and TV and will be an extension of Film and TV I.

Film & TV Internship Grades: 12 Fee: 15.00 12 Year CTE Credit A CTE Internship allows for additional development of career and technical standards within a general career field. Internships allow students to observe and participate in daily operations, develop direct contact with job personnel, ask questions about particular careers, and classroom to the real world environment and allow the students to get hands-on experience in a number of career related activities. The teacher, student and the business community jointly plan the organization, implementation, and evaluation of an internship, regardless of whether it is an unpaid or paid internship.
