Marching Band

Marching Band Half time show Half time performance

The Rio Rico High School Marching Hawks is a visual and musical performing ensemble that combines the distinct elements of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments with the artistic appeal of choreographed movement. In order to be a Marching Hawk, you must enroll in the marching class. The color guard auxiliary adds a flash of color and visual impact to the message of the music. Performers intertwine into a cohesive unit as they perform complex visual drill formations on the field while simultaneously presenting the music to the audience. The Rio Rico Color Guard performs with the Rio Rico Marching Hawks during the fall. The guard utilizes dance and visual choreography with flags, rifles, sabres, and other props to visually enhance the music performed in marching band through the addition of color and to accent impact points. Color guard students attend guard camp and marching band camp (both at RRHS) in July.
