A Message from Our Principal

Hello Parents,

We received the honor of being named winner of the College Board’s AP® District of the Year. On March 21 we proudly accepted this award and celebrated with a special assembly attended by students, teachers, parents, district staff, AP board members, news media, and other guests of distinction. Compared to other district’s in the United States, our test scores have increased, and we have grown our AP program enrollment. Congratulations to everyone on yet another achievement that makes our district great!

This month is busy for students taking state assessments. 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take the AzMERIT during the first three weeks. Attendance is very important.

Help us celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 7 through May 11. We celebrate our teachers with something special everyday (breakfast, lunch, desserts, and prizes). Prizes include gift cards, gift certificates for products and services, etc. Food items are also welcome. If you can help in any way, please contact the front office at 520.375.8700.

My invitation this month goes out to all parents of 12th and 8th grade students to have coffee with the principal. Please join me for this informal get together on April 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the choir room.

If you have any questions, feel free to call us, browse through our website, and don’t forget to like us on Facebook. You can also follow me on Instagram and Twitter.

Go, Hawks!

Sincerely,

Shelly Vroegh
